Beijing has many great restaurants. Here are some tips on where to eat.
Some of the best food is prepared by small vendors along the street. Don’t be afraid, just be wise: Choose a place that has lots of customers. One of the best things about summer in Beijing is all the chuanr (pronounced “chwar”) vendors selling skewers of lamb meat. Just ask for “yang rou chuanr” and beer and you’re all set.
You can pick a place out of The Beijinger or City Weekend, or just go to Sanlitun and walk around the mall area.
